Jenefer
Nelson
Kindergarten
Hello, my name is Jenefer Nelson and I am excited to be
teaching
Kindergarten
at Grove Valley Elementary. Kindergarten is an
exciting time for everyone and is full of
many “firsts”. The children will be faced with new
challenges and accomplish
many new things. My goal is to ensure that all students
achieve success and attain a love for learning.
I was born and raised in Lawton, Oklahoma. I graduated
from Eisenhower High School, (Go Eagles!) and then went
on to Cameron University. During my four years at
Cameron, I studied both Elementary and Early Childhood
Education. After graduating from Cameron with a
bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and an
endorsement in Early Childhood Education, I taught
full-day kindergarten for 3 years at Woodland Hills
Elementary in Lawton. After marrying, my husband and I
moved to Hawaii. While living on the island of Oahu, I
taught 4th graders at Kapolei Elementary
School. I feel so lucky to have been able to live in
Hawaii but Oklahoma is home to me. My husband, CJ, is
now an Edmond Police Officer and I am enjoying my time
teaching at Grove!
We are going to have an exciting year of learning.
