Hello, my name is Brenda Bogner. I
was born and raised in Kansas and lived for six years in
Wisconsin before moving to Oklahoma. I have had an
awesome background giving me experience working with
senior citizens, juvenile offenders, abused children and
adult prisoners at a county jail. My most previous job
was a stay at home mom, where I embraced my desire to
teach elementary students!
This will be my
second year at Grove Valley Elementary. I look forward
to continue working with students as they learn to think
outside the box! If you have talked with any of my
previous students, you will learn that I say “Think
outside the box.”; “There is always more than one way to
solve a problem or challenge.” I completely believe
this and I believe that all students can learn and
accomplish ANYTHING they want to accomplish!
As I said
before, I was a stay at home mom in my previous job.
Well, I am still a mom and absolutely love that job! My
children and my husband are the center of my world.
They are why I am teaching. They present challenges and
rewards to me that I carry back to my classroom each
day.
I
encourage my students to be lifelong learners. To walk
the talk, I am also working toward my Master’s Degree in
Education. Obviously, I cannot do this full time, so I
am chipping away one class at a time and have gone far
enough to see the light at the end of the tunnel! This
also puts me back into the student seat to remember what
it is like to be a student.
Again, I
am so excited to be working with your children. Know
that their best interests are at the front of my mind at
all times. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you
have ANY questions or concerns. The best way to work
with my students is to listen to them and communicate
with you.
