Hello, my name is Amy Haas.  I am so excited to begin a new year teaching Pre-Kindergarten.  I have a degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Central Oklahoma.  I have been a teacher for 15 years and have taught primarily Kindergarten and First Grade in Oklahoma City.  I have been honored as a Great Expectations Model Classroom.  I have a passion for teaching and a desire for children to delight in coming to school.  I have always loved what I do to the point that it consumes me!

 I have been married to my husband for 17 years and we have three fantastic children.   Our oldest daughter, Sydney, is involved in the Middle School and loves playing in the Deer Creek Band.  Our next daughter, Emily, is a student right here at our own Grove Valley where music is also one of her loves.  Our little guy, Andrew, is not quite ready for school at age 2, but he sure thinks he is!  My husband and I both play musical instruments, and I sing in the worship team at our church, so you can tell that Music plays a huge role in our lives.  Your children will also come to love all this music in my classroom because we will sing all day!

The first year of school in any child’s life sets the “stage” for what is yet to develop.  Pre-K will be the grand Act 1 for a lifelong journey of learning that will enable your child to embark on an incredible future.  I am excited to begin!
