Michelle Gregory
Special Education

Hello, and welcome to my web site.  I’m so glad you have dropped by.  My name is Michelle Gregory and I am very excited to start my 1st year at Deer Creek’s Grove Valley Elementary School.  My family relocated to the Oklahoma City area in December 2010.  Prior to the move, we lived in Collinsville, Oklahoma where I had the privilege to teach Pre-K for the past 10 years.  I was blessed to have worked for a school with full inclusion which began my love for special education.

I have been married to my husband Patrick for 17 years and we have 4 great children.  James is 16 and a Junior at Piedmont High School.  Christopher is 15 and a Sophomore at Deer Creek High School.  Matthew is 12 and a 7th grader at Piedmont Middle School and the youngest is our daughter Kailey.  Kailey is going into the 2nd grade at Stone Ridge Elementary in Piedmont.  We are very busy parents of these 4 kids and are involved in all of their activities.

My philosophy in education is that “ALL CHILDREN CAN LEARN!”  Some may require different approaches or different teaching techniques.  Some may learn a little slower, while others learn at a faster pace, but each child has the ability to learn.  I am excited at the opportunity to be with your children and get to know each and every one of them.  I also believe that parent/teacher communication is extremely important; we are a team and together we will help your child reach their full potential.

In Great Expectations, one of the 8 expectations states, “We will cheer each other to success.”  I think this is a very valuable statement and I hope I can instill that value in each and every one of my students.  Another states, “We will value one another as unique and special individuals.”  If at the end of the year I can look back and know that I have achieved these two goals, then I know that I have succeeded as a teacher.

Thank you again for stopping by and I welcome any and all communication at any time.

Michelle Gregory
