Welcome!
I am very excited to be teaching first grade again at Grove Valley Elementary. I am very fortunate to be a part of such a wonderful school, staff, and community. I know this year promises to be just as exciting as last year!

I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education.  However, I began my career as an educator at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas and I am a true Aggie at heart. This is my third year with Deer Creek Schools all of them at Grove Valley.  Cumulatively, I have over eight years of experience in the areas of child care and education and I am living my dream in working with children.  

I share my life here in Oklahoma with my husband and our three dogs. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, college football, traveling, camping, skiing, fishing, and many other outdoor activities.

I work hard to continue my education through attending teacher workshops and learning from others around me. Education is a lifelong process and there's always something new to learn. I have attended the National Association for the Education of Young Children Conference in Dallas and presented at the Southern Early Childhood Association Conference in Myrtle Beach. I have been trained in Great Expectations, Literacy First, and PLC. I look forward to bringing some new ideas back to my classroom and school.
